Salute that to Them should be Glued

Deserving to be Honored

"Thank you". As a student, that was the two words that I can never tell personally to our Filipino fighters who stood up for us and did not let us down especially our country just like that. Commemorating and celebrating the Day of Valor or also known as "Araw ng Kagitingan" serves as an open way for me to know our heroes more. Who set aside everything single thing just to make sure that our beloved country will not be crashed totally, perhaps will stay in its same position. With all that had happen, it is really true that  not all heroes wear capes.

On the other hand, why are we commemorating Araw ng Kagitingan by the way? Commemorating Araw ng Kagitingan is an approach to mainly to honor the greatness of our Filipino fighters during World War II. The "greatness" mentioned is an accurate distinction for our heroes as they helped us bring the democracy and freedom during the World War II. Furthermore, the date of Araw ng Kagitingan, specifically, every 9th of April through years is proclaimed as a nationwide holiday. This is also a day of solemnity which is for our heroes.

This aims for our heroes to be remain remembered by every Filipinos of every generation. This is also to promote deeper appreciation to our heroes for the freedom we are enjoying today. In celebrating this, it also set one's sight on fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity for every Filipinos. Our Filipino fighters cannot give us a pleasurable life with them having the lack of cooperation and participation. Having a strong connection with each other, whether we know them or not is indeed a way to achieve peacefulness of everybody.

Whether it is April 9 or not, may we always know how to respect and honor our brave and selfless fighters who dedicated their life just to give us a peaceful life. We cannot just push them away as we owe a part of our life to them. They deserved to be honored. To be respected. To be bowed by. We will forever salute you our Filipino fighters.
