A Voyage Into The Future

I've Always Wanted to Take Part.

A famous quote once said, "I choose to be a participant in my life rather than an spectator". When I was in elementary, I used to join in different clubs and organizations. With that, I learned how to manage my time and on how to multi-task. Therefore, behind all of that, I still cry when a certain tasks is giving me a hard time. There were moments when I doubted my worth and felt like a failure, and honestly speaking, I am afraid of failure. But, as days and years passed by, I see myself standing tall, realizing that the fear of failure no longer holds me back because I've understand that failure is a stepping stone towards success. There have been moments of pain and struggle, but also moments of strength and resilience.

With the statement I had, the question is, what is the best thing that describes me? I can say that the best thing that describes me is being active and persistent. I have always been passionate in joining  activities rather than watch it. I can say that having these is also one of the best thing to love myself more. "Loving yourself first", a familiar quote which is common but the most confusing, and yet the most profoundly advice that anyone can give. I am contented that I am able to apply this profoundly advice to myself.

Being active in life gave me a lot of benefits and so with being persistent also. Now that I am already in high school, I can give in that characteristics I have in a way that it makes me fulfill some of the imaginations and dreams I have like being the newly elected Science Club president, being part of the Boy Scout of the Philippines, being part of the journalism, being able to actively recite in class, and many more. I can also say that being active and persistent saved me a lot during pandemic. I can proudly say that I survived the modular learning during pandemic without having any mental issues.  I am hoping that these characteristics I have will not left me and I can bring them as I travel on my future. I learned how not to gave up in every  situations, easy or hard, as long as I can.

Nevertheless, I know that I wouldn't develop these characteristics without the guidance of the people around me especially my mom and dad. They saw me crying but instead of throwing the question, "anya man nga drama detan?" which some students are receiving from their parents when they saw them with the same situation like mine, they console me and give me piece of advice especially an advice to be strong and not to give up. They are one of the best inspiration I had in this life. I also have my friends who tried to make me happy and always supporting me whenever I joined into something I am interested about and will make me happy. I am not also gonna forget our almighty God who's with me in everything that I do. I am very happy and contented that I have them in my life.

So, this is my life. One thing that completes me is being active and persistent. But besides all of that, one of my journey, for now, is to discover myself more. To find what ignites me and to seize every opportunity that comes my way. I'm unsure of where this will go, but I won't allow that to hinder me from attempting and engaging in new endeavors.

I always want to join and participate rather than watch and observe. I couldn't imagine my life without being active and persistent. My soul is aching and finding for it. I am looking forward for a more active life.  I hope that this characteristics will stay in me forever as I go along with the flow of life that will lead me towards my dream and future.
