Maintain And Value, The Only Home We Have Ever Known
Embody The Transformation That You Wish To Witness In The World
Being in the world goes beyond only existing there. Being human, we have obligations that may go unnoticed at times yet have a significant impact on where we are living. Nature provides a wide range of additional products and services that are essential to our well-being, wealth, and health. This straightforward statement helped us to understand the value of our nature. Can anyone survive in an unhealthy environment? Can someone sustain an environmentally irresponsible lifestyle? Surely the answer will be none.
All individuals in this world, not just my co-Filipino's should live in respect with the environment. People's attitudes should be set on conserving and protecting the environment they live in at all times. As a student, the following are some ways to protect and care for the environment through engaging in an
environmentally conscious lifestyle:
As a Science Club Officer, we, the Science Club together with the Yes-O Organization engage in a Mangrove planting activity. Planting has a positive impact on the environment as it moves us step closer to a nation that is friendlier to people and animals and more resistant to climate change.
JOINING IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RELATED CAMPS
This picture shows my participation in Yes-O Camp as a facilitator to a different activities during the camp which most is related to environment. I believe that engaging in activities like this will enhance and is a good addendum to my knowledge regarding our environment.
We, the Science Club Officers together with the Yes-o Organization and Boy Scout of the Philippines - ISNHS Chapter joined in the International Coastal Clean Up Day. Cleaning in the coastal areas in a form of even just picking up trash is a big help getting rid of the garbage that threatens aquatic life and plants, furthermore, it also helps protecting the marine ecology.
JOINING IN A CLEAN UP DRIVE ACTIVITY
As a member of Boy Scout of the Philippines - ISNHS Chapter, I participated and is still participating in the Clean Up Drive Activity for the greater good of our campus, ISNHS. Voluntarily cleaning even just in a short period of time is an effective way in maintaining the surroundings clean and sustainable, as well as decreasing the possible spread of illnesses that we can get if the environment we are in is unhealthy.
This picture shows us holding an AquaFlask or a water canister containing water that we are drinking everyday in school. Choosing water canister instead of plastic bottle is a simple but effective way of protecting the environment as it is eco-friendly and reusable which helps in eliminating plastics from our landfills and oceans that causes pollutions and flood.
Connecting with nature by our simple acts in protecting them means a lot. We cannot deny that many or almost all people have a strong need for nature, which is essential for maintaining our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Always remember that nature is a home, not a place to visit. This is where we live so we should know how to deal in maintaining our nature healthy in any circumstances. Nurture our nature, to save the future.
