"Bear the banner, of glory and honor, for our beloved Alma Matter". As March 9 comes, my dearest junior high school Alma Matter is very alive. Finally, after how many years, the very real celebration that  everyone is looking forward to happened. Every corner as well as every streets that surrounds it is indeed full of crowd wearing their smiles with their thunderous claps and cheers. Forged from the fiery passion, Ilocos Sur National High School finally celebrated its 122nd Foundation Day. It is astounding to finally see how ISNHS really celebrates the high school day.

The first activity during high school day is the joyful foot parade. There is an award for the most discipline section per grade level which will be receiving a cash prize that makes it more exciting. We the won as the most discipline section out of all grade level that made us, Marconians, jump in happiness. It warms my heart that the preparation we had, even the whistles that serves as a signal, is all worth it. Furthermore, I also had fun walking with other students. I could not feel the tiredness that much even though we walked a little bit further from the school as the environment as well as the smiling faces that surrounds me made me enjoy my walk.

After that, we prepared for the next activity of the day which is the Field Demo. Amidst of the sun that shining brightly, all of us students from different grade level executes unique rhythms. A symphony of different ways and timings as we perform our talents in dancing. Dancing with our props, while many people are cheering for us warms my heart. I am thankful as I was able to experience those. Grade 10 boys then hailed as a champion during the Field Demo while Grade 10 girls was awarded as the 3rd. Nevertheless, that does not lessen my enjoyment and excitement as I move forward to more activities during that day.

As 12:00 in the afternoon ticks, we gathered to have our simple lunch together with our teacher, Mrs. Llagas, as we celebrate the ISNHS 122nd Foundation Day. Different foods was serve that made our stomachs be contented and satisfied. Following after that is my duty as a Science Club Officer. I proceeded to our booth to help in selling local products as well as thrifted clothes to everyone that was in ISNHS during that day. The selling of local products especially the hand fan extended in the gymnasium. We tried to sell there and we actually did not expect that it will be almost sold out as many of them got interested in it given the fact that the gym was hot during that certain day and time.

My high school day experience ended with a concert held at the ISNHS Gymnasium. I was very pleased to see some of my friends performing on the stage. As well as other students and teachers. I remember how my loudest voice came out while jamming to the different music's they are playing. Lastly, I then exited the gymnasium as well as the school with a big smile and contented heart.

During that said celebration, I did experience a lot of new things. I did got a lot of memories that I will truly cherish forever. After all, school is not only intended for learning. School aims for us to learn while also having fun. With those experiences I had, I got to know more about my Alma Matter at present. It is indeed an ISNHS High School Day. Aim High, Fly Soar, Ilocos Sur National High School!
