Who is Worthy of a Bow?

Indeed, It Is An Unquestionable Worth After All

    
"Dr. Jose Rizal", when we hear that name, we are usually amazed. By the wonderful stories he was able to wrote, but little did we know, was a big contribution to our country. The thought, "Pambansang Bayani ng Pilipinas", usually came to our minds. However, is he really deserving to be entitled as the Pambansang Bayani ng Pilipinas? Is he really the face of the Philippines? What are his greatest contributions to Philippine society?

    To young people like us, it's not new that Dr. Jose Rizal is one of the greatest writer when it comes to fighting the rights of all Filipino's against Spanish who invaded and dominated us in our own country centuries time ago. His stories advocated political reforms and social change in the Philippines. He was able to woke us up from the abuses and injustices Filipino's went through by the Spanish Colonial Government as well as the clergy's. He was able to liberate us from the injustices we are facing and support us by quietly fighting for our rights, by using his stories and writings to be exact. He was able to formulate a national identity for the Philippines.

    Some of his greatest contributions are not yet detailed. However, we can now say why many people are mesmerized when it comes to him. Why a lot of people looked up to him as a leader and hero. He was an incorruptible leader. He displayed a kind of leadership that was not motivated by personal interests but the willingness to sacrifice oneself for the good of the majority. He demonstrated that individuals can make significant contributions for the betterment of their nation. 

    Rizal may be known as the national hero that changed the course of history through his writings and ideas, but when it was comprehended in a deeper way, it's his leadership after all. Through his leadership, people in our country came together to effect change and a moral awakening. Rather than using force or aggression, he choose to demonstrate his love for the Philippines through his novels, essays, and articles. It may be too late, but he deserves a bow from us. He is deserving of a bow in recognition of his tireless effort as he was able to create a work that significantly change the way we live.  He became the symbol for Philippines struggle for independence.
