Social Structure of the Philippines, Fosters Resiliency

The Philippines' Significant Numbers Towards a Resilient Nation

Philippines is known for embracing a "culture of resilience". Community coalitions are well-established, acknowledged, and supported in their efforts to deliver vital services both before and after disasters strike. Filipinos are among the world's most pragmatic people. They are more prone to accept that unpleasant things actually happen than  wonder how such issues could possibly exist. For a Filipino, the real query is, "What should we do next?" However, besides that question, there are still queries  that are waiting to be answered.

The number changes every second. It plays in the span of a single blink. It has a life of its own with a hidden meaning. Rises and falls that reveal a significant shift in the community as a whole as well as in the people. A seemingly insignificant number has profound impact on society.

The knowledge of the citizens when it comes to the country's statistics and data is very important. With that, they have awareness and at least gradually understand the true state of our society. However, is progress to a more resilient Philippines still possible? Is there something more effective? Or is there another way to speed up the rise of the Filipino people to a prosperous and vibrant economy?

The country where we were born is  the reflection of our future. Here in the colorful world of our town, our life revolves while we are gradually being shaped towards a great future we dreamed of. Intermingling and following the flow of life which in truth sometimes we cannot understand because of our infancy. What is the real condition of the people in our country at present? How can we answer the various questions towards a resilient Philippines?

This is where the collective data and statistics of various government agencies come in. They serve as  the basis to think carefully about plans and decisions in the creation of programs and projects that may be one of the keys to recovery that will benefit many citizens. An important factor in the advancement of the Philippines is correct and accurate data to fully understand the needs and provide solutions if necessary. The data and statistics of the country's population are mainly included for effective analysis in each situation. Even if the response is not the same in every situation in different parts of our country, providing a solution that is definitely up-to-date is effective because "real time data" as it is called is the basis. Data and statistics are important tools in conducting comprehensive policy analysis in any government agency.

Let's take as an example the data and statistics of the country's healthcare delivery system. Every detail is important in conducting the analysis. Through this, we can analyze the spread of diseases and how it is faced by the communities. This information will be a guide when the health care system will be organized and the study of the needs of the citizens based on the data of the number of hospitals, doctors, and other health services to better serve the ones who are sick. Isn't it that the Philippines is more vibrant when the people are healthy and happy?

Meanwhile, data and statistics are also used to measure equity in access to the health care system. Based on the information, the income, education, state of the economy and above all those in need are known. In rapid development, Filipinos should be together. And that is the focus of every agency, to make our country prosperous. The latest program can deliver a more positive impact on the country's population.

Even though we are in modernized thru technology, the value of current information plays a vital role to further improve the condition of the country. The acquisition, organization and adjustment of data and statistics using technology is getting faster and faster. There is no day that our country is not energetic because it continues to analyze data just to improve the government's service to the citizens.

Rapid development is possible with the help of technology. But it should only be used correctly. It can't be done alone. What's the use of Filipino blood if we don't unite, right? Participate to make the action of the concerned more realistic. You are a part of the country, just hang on, someday, we can also live up with the energetic movement of the modern world.

With all of these information given, there is something on the horizon. A "HOPE". A lone voice which whispers "maybe" when it seems like everyone else is shouting "no". A hope towards a resilient Philippines. Although the progress to resiliency maybe slow, always remember the saying, "Slow progress is better than no progress".
